Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

Here at Conquest Pest Control we want to not only rid you of your infestations, but also help you take the necessary steps to make your home or business an unsuitable environment for pests to return. We also look to do so in the most environmentally safe way as possible. Integrated Pest Management (IPM), is a series of steps and precautions that, as a whole, are stronger than any single action. These steps include pest identification and monitoring, management, prevention and extermination methods.

IPM INFO

In the first step we identify the specific threat to your home or business, how many there are and any possible damage they may cause. In doing so our professionals are able to determine whether or not the pest will become an even greater concern. This then leads into prevention, where we help to remove any conditions that might attract pests, such as removing clutter, sealing any areas that pests can enter or any other situations that may become optimal breeding ground for pests. These actions also help us to choose which extermination method will best suit your situation. Unlike some extermination methods, IPM only uses chemical pesticides when it is absolutely necessary.

Integrated Pest Management is a very environmentally friendly method of extermination. Any chemicals that may be used are carefully selected to minimize any damage done to the surrounding soil, air and water. IPM prefers to use other means such as traps, barriers (such as fences or screens), as well as reducing the potentiality of your home or business being a sustainable environment for pests.
